Menatelecom Appoints Global Giant Tech Mahindra to Manage Operation & Business Support Systems

As part of Menatelecom's continued investment in their WiMAX 16e network expansion, Menatelecom have awarded the 2012 - 2013 Managed Services contract to global giant Tech Mahindra. Tech Mahindra is a leading provider of solutions and services to the telecommunications industry with a majority stake owned by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, in partnership with British Telecommunications plc. Tech Mahindra Ltd is part of the US $12.5 billion Mahindra Group, a global industrial federation of companies and one of the top 10 business houses based in India. Focused primarily on the telecommunications industry, Tech Mahindra is a leading global systems integrator and business transformation consulting organization. Their capabilities are spread across a broad spectrum, including Business Support Systems (BSS), Operations Support Systems (OSS), Network Design & Engineering, Next Generation Networks, Mobility Solutions, Security Consulting and Testing. Tech Mahindra will join Huawei Technologies in managing Menatelecom's cutting-edge WiMAX 16e network and ensuring that Menatelecom continues to provide the most powerful internet packages in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The official signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdulhakeem Al Khayyat, CEO and Managing Director of Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain and Chairman of Menatelecom, Senior Executives from Menatelecom and Mr. Krishna Gopal, Vice President of Tech Mahindra. The agreement will enable Menatelecom to enhance and expand Menatelecom's billing and customer relation management system. With Tech Mahindra's Managed Services solution, Menatelecom will also significantly enhance the current OSS/BSS capabilities and enable it to offer advanced services to its customers Commenting on the Tech Mahindra "Managed Services" contract, Mr. Abdulhakeem Al Khayyat commented, "In a few short years since the launch of our WiMAX network, Menatelecom has changed the internet market and the way people connect to the internet in the Kingdom of Bahrain. All these services are enhanced and monitored by a Network Operations Centre working 24/7 to ensure a seamless operation, supported by a Call Centre managing customer queries, in addition to a dedicated Business helpdesk for corporate customers.
