Broadband co in Vic expansion

AUSTRALIAN cable infrastructure producer C-COR Broadband has opened a state-of-the-art production facility in Mulgrave, Victoria, and taken on several new staff to facilitate its rapid expansion. The company has invested more than $500,000 in the facility to produce components for Telstra and clients in India, Pakistan, the Philippines, New Zealand and Guam. C-COR Broadband has a close relationship with US broadband technology company, ARRIS, and produces many products under licence. The company has just appointed a production supervisor (Dustin Chan), two RF production test technicians (Colin David and Naim Mohit), three assembly line technicians (Claudette Coomerwal, Kim Pham, Noelle Dassaye ), and a permanent storesperson (Hanh Tran) to assist with production requirements. C-COR is also seeking a junior RF engineer and an RF production test technician. "We're highly optimistic about our growth prospects -- large enough to operate at high volume for large customers yet small and agile enough to meet customer demands in emerging markets," C-COR managing director John Goddard says. "We expect revenues to increase by 30 per cent in 2013 as the market for broadband technology further increases," he says.
